Dr Yap obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2006. In her final year, she was one of the two students who received a distinction in Clinical Dentistry.
During her 4 years in the government service, she treated a wide range of patients. Her working experience includes:
- National healthcare group polyclinics, Woodlands Polyclinic, where she was appointed Head of the Dental clinic.
- Alexandra Hospital where she worked closely with the specialists
- NHG DentalCare
During her undergraduate years, Dr Yap was involved in numerous student activities. She was the President of NUS Dental Society and a member of the NUSSU Council. Internationally, Dr Yap was the vice president of the Asia Pacific Dental Student Association (Local organising committee). Currently, Dr Yap is a member of the College of Dental Practioners, Singapore Dental Association (SDA) and a member of the Aesthetic Dental Society Singapore (ADSS).
Dr Yap practices General Dentistry with a keen interest in Aesthetic and Implant Dentistry. Committed to advancing her knowledge and clinical skills for the benefit of her patients, Dr Yap has actively participated in overseas and local conferences to keep abreast of the advancement in Dentistry. Dr Yap places great importance in understanding, communicating and providing holistic treatment for her patients.
