Dr Tan Wen Li graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2017. Since graduating, she has worked at various government institutions including National Healthcare Group Polyclinics where she was involved in primary dental care; and at the tertiary level in Changi General Hospital and National Dental Centre Singapore. She was exposed to a wide range of general dentistry, including gum disease, root canal treatment, oral surgery, crowns, and dentures. She has also worked alongside specialists in comprehensive treatment planning and management of acute pain.
Dr Wen Li firmly believes in working closely with patients to better understand their oral condition and to motivate them to take ownership of their dental health and avoid future problems. She is committed to ensure that her patients are comfortable and hopes to help them overcome any phobia they may have in the dental chair. She finds her work fulfilling when her patients gain confidence in their smile and have a healthy set of teeth to enjoy what she believes is one of the simplest pleasures in life—eating.
Taking continued professional education beyond school seriously, Dr Wen Li strives to provide the best possible care for her patients by regularly attending dental courses to keep up to date with the latest developments in dentistry. To give back to the community, she also volunteers at local clinics and has been to Cambodia and East Timor to provide dental treatment and preventive education.
Outside work, Dr Wen Li enjoys spending time with family and her three Cavaliers, going on long walks and playing badminton.
